~ Dinner in the Dahlias ~

Join us Thursday, September 17th at 6PM for a Dinner in the Dahlias (6:45 dinner is served)

We are welcoming Roza and her team from Joyfull (@wearethejoyfull) back with a delicious brand new menu. MOOD & CO. (@moodaco) will be setting the mood for this unique dining experience. There will be an amazing guest DJ ( @thecrazyplatelady) and Live Music. You will be welcomed with an original cocktail collaboration between my lovely wife Shannon (@Fromtheland_PortStanley) and Roza with an original and exclusive beverage curated specifically for the evening (non-alc alternative too!). While our live musician serenades your arrival, you may seat yourself at one of the 52 spots in the patch. Roza will be taking your tastebuds on a journey while time slows down among the giant dahlias swaying in the patch.

6:45PM your dining adventure begins. As the 6 courses are served and the sun slowly dims, the candles and torches will begin to light up the evening and our DJ will be spinning some chill dinner music. Beer and Wine is included, and we recommend you bring your own, as well!

If you consider yourself a big eater, then you will love our Late-Night Surprise… An off-menu secret that only past guests can attest to.

The dinner will run until 9:45PM. We encourage you to stay and savour the moment with your company. 10pm the torches and candles will fade into the darkness.

This is a very fun one! The blooms that come off this plant are always different! Sometimes to you get solid orange and 5 inches, other times you get full mixed orange and white and it’s tiny. Worth getting one to see what it has in store for your garden. She’s one of my most prominent shape shifters in the patch! See for yourself in the photos.

This striking purple ball variety is sure to turn some heads. I find this colour so special in dahlias, and I absolute love this variety. It will grow tall enough to look you in the eye, and kicks long but strong stems giving you tons to work with as a cut flower. Long-lasting, beautiful, and tall. You can’'t go wrong with this choice.

Bloom Size - 2.5-3.5 inches

Cornel Bronze is a classic ball variety among dahlia growers. Often sought after by florists in the fall for its dense, robust bloom that makes it an easy transporter while offering a strong vase-life. It pops a rusty orange bronze colour and super long, strong stems. If you love cutting your flowers for bouquets this one makes it easy! You can practically pick these flowers without snips, the stems crack off like they’ve been bread over time to know what to do.
